La nueva tendencia del lenguaje

Fue un pequeño desliz lingüístico para la presidenta de Chile, pero marcó el principio de algo revolucionario: la traducción literal de las frases locales. Aquél día en que Michelle Bachelet, haciendo una alabanza a su Ministro de Hacienda, dijo “many people critiziced him because he was very… how do you say… hand of baby” algo cambió para siempre. Y aquí está el resultado, elaborado junto con Pablo Loschi y Rodrigo Rivera:


Manito de guagua: hand of baby (avaro)
Dejó la escoba: he/she left the broom (hacer un desastre)
Dejó la cagá: he/she left the shit (hacer un tremendo desastre)
Peinando la muñeca: combing the doll (enloquecer)
Me echó la foca: he/she threw me the seal (provocar un conflicto)
Me lo paso por la raja: I pass it through my crack (no me importa)
Patá en la raja: kick in the crack (me echaron, me repudiaron)
Cara de raja: face of crack (desvergonzadamente)
Cara de palo: face of stick (descarado)
Estoy raja: I am crack (estoy cansado)
Dai jugo: you give juice (dices tonterías)
Guateai: you are bellying (hacer torpezas)
No te pesco: I’m not fishing you (no te presto atención)
No estoy ni ahí: I’m not even there (no me interesa)
Huevón: big-balled (tipo, tonto, amigo, etc)
Vale hongo: it’s worth fungus (no tiene valor)
Cabro chico: little goat (persona joven)
Pegarse el alcachofazo: to bump into a huge artichoke (darse cuenta de algo de golpe)
Quedé marcando ocupado: I was stuck dialing a busy number (quedar pasmado)
Andate a la cresta: go to the crest (vete al diablo)
Andate a la punta del cerro: go to the top of the hill (lárgate)
Aperrao: dogged (comprometido)
Con cueva: with cave (con suerte)
Apretar cueva (aprecue): to stretch the cave (sentir apprehension)
La mansa cagá: the tame shit (tremendo error)
Está pelúo: it’s hairy (está difícil)
Galla/gallo: hen/cock (tipa/tipo)
Que erí perna/o: you are a bolt (ser nerd)
Yegua: mare (mujer – despectivo)
Estoy curaó: I am healed (estar borracho)
Estoy enferma: I am sick (menstruar)
Cachai la weá: do you catch the balls-shape situation? (¿Entiendes?)
Cacha este weón: catch this big-balled (¿viste a este tonto?)
Guatón culiao: fucked fatty (maldito gordo)
Filo con la weá: edge with the ball-shaped situation (al Diablo con el tema)
La media mina: the half mine! (la mujer bonita)
